:-) New stuff!

Well, I have several new things coming soon!
 
I ordered white gauges, HVAC panel, and lighting panel. Should be on the way. 
 
I'm getting 2 MTX 12"s put in Friday, Orion 800watt amp comes in tomorrow complete with power cables and RCAs.
 
My next thing is a slimline 200w power inverter w/GFCI to mount behind glove box. 120VAC power outlets will be installed in the back of the console. 

Your're gettin' there, Brent. Put in the wet bar and dorm fridge and you'll be good to go.

LOL yeah.  The fridge will be later on. I think I'll put a bed in the back too! j/k
 
Anyway, I raided the mailbox about 30 minutes ago, and I'm no longer waiting for the HVAC and headlight panels. Here are the pictures:
 

I've been looking at getting some of these myself. My question is what do they look like at night. It looks like the heater panel is the same colors as my gauges but do they light up blue and red like my gauges at night. It looks like the headlight pamel just shines through from behind, am I right about that? I have been thinking about doing what drperry did and change to blue led's for the lights. Than I am thinking about getting a carbon fiber dash kit, but that's another story lol.

Yeah they look pretty good, glad you like em. I don't think I would like them in my truck. I would rather accent paint the ac vents, and radio surround and door hadle surrounds. I finally got my last LED's in to finish up the LED dash conversion.

what model of amp and subs?

Took me all of 15 minutes to put them in. I'll get those gauges in when I get them too.  I doubt I'll get them before next Tuesday, They come via UPS, the others came USmail.   
 
 I'm looking forward to getting the subs in Friday. I like a little extra thump in the trunk, IYNWIM!
 
I think I got the gauges and instrument panels for around 80 bucks total on ebay.  The subs and box is $150 used, amp is $175 new, taps $20, installation $50. I'm getting a deal considering I'm getting two lightly used MTX subs, an Orion 800, and a box for less than $500!!

I was looking at the build package on my blazer and found out it should have had a black dash bezel, not a tan. So if anyone has a black one that they want to part with....
Apparently the first owner cracked the bezel somehow and replaced it to match the dash. I may just take it out and paint the vents black.

OK, I have a question. I got the new gauges in today and they require wiring to the dash light power wire or the Cig Ltr wire. I would prefer wiring it to the dash light power wire, but which wire is it?  The gauges are Electro-Luminescent if you need to know.

I just came back in... I've been out there having a heat stroke and poking around with a DMM to try to find the right wire.  No go yet.
 
DAVTAK!!! where did you stick your wires?

I know for my blue LED's in the headlight switch, I'm pretty sure I had a dark green wire for my positive lead...

I got them wired. I finally found the wire for the dimmer while I was "poking around" with the DMM.  At first, I couldn't get a good ground with the DMM, turns out the pin feeler had a short in it. Finally got it working, found out that it was the green. So I got it back in and here's the pics:

Looks GREAT!  But how are you in D3 at 750 rpm and the speedo is at 0?

Its in D3 because I accidentally went past D.
 
And those gauges have 3k at top dead center. The NuImage gauges have an incorrect tach.

I'd like to get this overlay, but it's $200 from USSpeedo, can't seem to find them anywhere else.  How much were yours?

Wow that is a really nice dash overlay from US Speedo but that is too much. If I had a brand new blazer with like 10k miles then I think I would get those.

Those are different from mine. Mine don't have blue rings around the needles in the gas gauges, oil gauge, battery gauge, and temp gauge. Mine also are white up where the turn arrows are and the top level where the seatbelt and check engine lights are. They look really good though. If anyone else is looking to get something like this, I posted a how-to to install them in the paint/body/interior section at the top of the page. Do the other gauge panels light up the same colors as the gauges. Can you post a night pic of all the gauges so I can see euro.

Looks awesome. Makes me want to get some except that I really like the stock guages with my Blue LED's in there, looks awesome at night. I can't wait till I get my dash all back together. I just have the HVAC and door panel controls to go. Its hard to find time when it is really hot out and I am taking classes and working.

Looking good. I see the heater panel colors. I'm gonna have to pick up one of those next time I'm on ebay. What does the headlight panel look like at night? I'm gonna do the blue LED conversion in the panels also. I want to try to d othem in the door switches also. Does anyone know if this is possible?

In order to install the headlight panel you must stick it over the OEM panel because you can't remove the OEM panel, so very little light goes through.
 
I'm going to get the subs this morning, so I should have them wired up by noon. I'm also gonna go to the junkyard and get a few parts for the Suburban and a black dash bezel for Jenn.

In the picture you can see that one of the subs is unhooked. I have to fix the input... it will only take about 2 minutes. I'll edit and then post the vid.
