So basically I got sick of my two sub boxes, my amp and my cap sliding around in the back of my truck so I've decided to glass them in.
progress so far is the rough back made up and the rings cut out. about 5 layers of boat cloth and one of mat. next step is to mount the rings and mount some dowel to the edges to smooth it out a little. then i'll be able to glass the front, put in my port, bolt it in and test it out. still debating whether or not to put sound deadener inside it but we'll see how it sounds.

Dude I've been thinking of doing this, This is gonna sound like a noob thing here but what ALL do you need to do fiberglassing and like the average price?

well I've spent about 160 CDN in materials--but i didnt really shop around and I bought enough for my friend who wants me to do his volkswagen corado for him.

-fibreglass 2 part resin (buy it by the gallon)--also buy an extra container of hardener as there never seems to be enough
-fibreglass mat--lots of unidirectional strength--good for a middle layer
-fibreglass boat--smooth plyable cloth more expensive but gives a nice end product
-wide masking tape
-wooden dowel to mount the sub rings
-1/2'' or 5/8'' MDF (material for sub rings)
-No More Nails--ring assembly
-bathingsuit material for the outer covering
-rubber gloves and garbadge bags (fibreglass is messy stuff)
-a 2-4 of your favorite beer

look in the other post about fibreglassing on here for instructions

mocked up the subs a little while ago--also heres the stuff i have purchased so far (more resin than shown tho)

dude on this picture:

You should extend the one on the left out alittle more and tilt it towards your tailgate. That'd look awesome!

yea im not really going for a look as such--its more to get my subs out of the way and still have the kick that they
definetly do (Y)--going to mount my capacitor on the left of it and my amp on the top

-sub holes roughed out and excess material trimmed within 1 inch of edge
