Hi everone, just purchased my first blazer. It is a 97 4door 4.3L. Bought if form my aunt for 500 hundred dollars. She got rid of it because it was leaking water from somewhere and when she took it to the shop they told her that it was going to be about 2000 dollars to fix it. Some of them wanted to do the heads too but me and my dad fixed it for less than 500. So in all we spent less than 1000 for it and it runs great. Hope to talk to yall soon.

She thought the radiator was leaking but it was the water pump so we replaced the water pump, radiator, upper and lower radiator hose, both heater hoses, idler pulley, tensioner pulley and t-stat. Took us about 2 days did it after work and in not a big hurry. It was fun me and dad out in the garage working.

Congrats! It's always fun when they work out that way! I can remember when my father and I would work on my Chevelle. Definitely good times!
