Anyone with a 2005 has a 2 door... It's all they made, lol.

I like my 2 door... I buy my vehicles for me, not for my passengers...

If I thought about other people, I wouldn't have a 5 speed ;)

I have always wondered this.  Why did you buy a Blazer instead of a Trailblazer?  They were similar in price but IMO the Trailblazer is so much more of a viechle, why wouldnt you spend the extra few grand and get that?  I know its all a matter of opinion but I have wondered this since I saw you post about getting your Blazer.

yeah 05's were pretty much just excess stuff. Thought of the Trailblazer but They wanted that much extra for it and I personally like the Blazer body style.

I'm all about 4 doors. The convenience is a selling feature for me. I have never been a big fan of any vehicle in a 2-door model if I can get a 4-door.

I doubt I could have gotten a 2005 Trailblazer for less than $20k
Trailblazers do NOT have a manual transmission option (if I would've seen one, I would've most likely taken it instead)
Insurance is cheaper on my Blazer (I'm under 25, so that means I get raped either way, but every little bit helps)
There was no used Trailblazers in any car lot in my city.
I only like the looks of the front end on a TB.

I don't like the trailblazers oversized and not very nimble off-roader. 4 wheel drive suckes. atleast in my sisters it does. I don't think they have good ground clearance either. just looking at hers verus mine. of course mine is a 99 2 dr.

That makes sense.  I was just looking at cars.com and the Trailblazers were 28k new and the Blazers were 26k new, so I thought why would you get the regular blazer.  But you make some good points.  And if thats what you want who cares what others think (I dont think your stupid, just wondering).

At the time, the US exchange rate was a lot worse off, so there was a much bigger difference, lol

I hear all of you about the four doors and having kids!! My husband and I both owned 2-door sports hatchback cars and let me tell you, 2 2-door cars does NOT equal 4 doors!!

And we did NOT own an infant car seat...just one of those convertible ones...do you know what a pain it is to put a newborn in a rear-facing convertible car seat in a 2-door hatchback? I almost have a panic attack when I think back! Two things I'd do differently...own a 4-door and buy an infant car seat that snaps off the base so I can secure little rugrat in the comfort of the livingroom!!

Yea Im sure a lot of people do.  I dont mind it here.  I said that sucks because of the transfer rate and some of the laws there such as their gun control and dont you Canadians have a goverment controled healthcare system?

I suppose it does kind of suck that you can be dirt poor and still get treated the same as a millionare(in health related matters, at least, not counting ambulance rides...), lol

If it was just the exchange rate, it wouldn't be as much of an issue... It's the shipping and duty that kills, lol

As for the whole gun control thing... I'm not worried, I've never really had an urge to own a gun.

Though, I do see gun registration as pointless, since criminals won't register them anyway... I do agree with needing a license + course to buy firearms and ammunition, though

I prefer the 4 door Blazers, longer wheelbase, smoother ride. I have a 1997 4 door 4WD here, 5" drop all around.  LOVE it, NEED a 4 door here with the snow in New Hampshire and with 1 son and a girl due late May!...although I am thinking minivan (BLAH!!!)

I said this somewhere before, but they DID make 4-doors in 2005, and IIRC ALL 2005's were Fleet sales only.....mostly rental cars.  I't be AWESOME to have free healthcare....I've considered moving to Canada several times!

That shouldnt be your only reason for moving there.  Sure there are some F%*$ed up things here in the US but I would never move.  Unless when the liberals get in office and take away all of our rights and take all my money and give it to the welfare crowd.

/end rant

2 doors are the only way to go, the short wheelbase is awsome off road

If there was 2005 4 doors, then they were fleet only.

All 2005 Blazers that were availiable to the general public were 2 doors...

I remember trying to configure one at the GM website when the Canon/Colorado came out... for the '05 year, there was NO 4 door option...

The 2dr is really manueverable.. back when my pops had the 2000 blazer 4dr, it wasn't very wasy to do a u-turn or get out of tight spots..  but again to some people it's personal preference, i just never really found a problem with climbing into the back seat
