2 part eng./ tranny question

Does anybody know if a tranny from a 94 s-10 Blazer will fit into a 95?
 
Also I have a 96 2 dr.  A few days ago, it started to sound as if something had worked loose on the top inside the motor.  A local mechanic said that I had spun a bearing.  ould a bearing sound similar to a valve rapping.  It increases with the engine speed.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks
