alright im sure somebody has asked before but ive been on here a week straight and havent seen anything im sure some of you might get a jolly while others tell me about how i posted in the wrong area and yes i know someone is going to tell me about how i might as well just get aluminum heads ported and polished with a .060 bore and a stroker kit im not asking how i can get it to burn my 31"s for 3 block im just looking for a v8 swap i can do changes to the motor after it is in there
all i have ever heard is a 4.3 is a 350 /w 2 less cylinders and i know in the beginning that was true but is it true if so i should be able to just go out get a vortec 350 out of a silverado or something swap it and just change the computer or something but is it that simple will my wiring hook right up or will i have to do some cutting
other than headers will i need to move my exhaust will my tranny, rear end, and transfer case hold up is my radiator big enough will all the front mount stuff work power steering pump a/c compresser alternater stuff like this is my problem and i am pretty good at wiring i know some welders can get a 350 for pretty cheap and i have access to a shop with a lift
im not planning on doing this next week or anything i just want to start rebuilding a motor and collecting what i need so i dont have to drop $3000 all at one time my wife would not like that
so far i either have or will have by the time im ready for this is
2000 4.3 vin w
4l60e with a B&M light truck mega shifter on the floor
K&N intake
direct fit high flow cat and y pipe bolts right to the manifolds and muffler no resignator chamber
2 1/2" single in single out flowmaster
3"BL
jet performance chip

Yeah, that is the background research I had done. Sold my Bravada before I got the chance to try it all out. Now I have a K5.
