You can use a 2 prong puller to remove the steering shock absorber. It's a tapered fit.

Well I tried a puller did not work granted it was a low cost puller just trashed it.. That thing is on there to stay. I got the top bolt off no problem the one with the cotter pin but this as far as I can get. I was wondering what a shop would use to get that stud off. I think it is the factory stabilizer on there I was wondering if that stud is threaded all the way through the mounting bar. I tried to turn the bottom stud but no way is it comin off. Can't even move it in either direction.Used lots of WD 40.

It is going in the shop next week to get a new hub& bearing installed I think I will ask them to see if they can get the old one off and mount the new monroe I have. I can see that the stud for the monroe is tapered and not threaded all the way . What is normal shop time for replacing stabilizer any body know.Like 30 min?

Edit: I miss understood you about puller I was trying it a different way. I need to get the mounting stud out as I do not think it is long enough for the new monroe shock. The shock on there right now has a sealed end opposite the cotter pin end no room for nut.

Thanks.
