Hey all

My 99 jimmy (with 80k miles) has recently developed a problem with the transmission where it dosent want to shift into 2nd. The engine revs up to 2k rpm's in 1st, then the rpm's drop and i can hear it try to shift and fail, then it kicks back into first for a second and trys again. However if i force it from drive into 2nd it shifts fine. It will do this until iv driven for 10-15 minutes then everything is fine. The Other interesting thing is that it only does this when its below about 70 degress outside. If i start it up in the morning after a warm nite everything is fine (the car lives outside..not in a garage).

I had the tranny flushed (it was time anyway) and it went away for a few days, but now its back. Iv also had two reputable shops look at it and keep it for several days to try to reproduce the issue, but it would never do it for them, probably because it was sitting in a warm garage all night. The service engine light has never turned on, and I realy have no idea what to do next. Any ideas would be welcome!
