hello again
was greasing the front end to try to get rid of the funny noise when i looked up and saw that the pass side upper a-arm bushings have rotted away (215,000 miles) is it easy or hard to replace these bushings? any thing i need to watch out for? thanks glen

Well....it's not as easy as changing your spark plugs.
You first need to remove the upper control arm. That means separating the upper ball joint, removing any clips and bracketts for the ABS wiring and brake hoses, marking and removing the alignment cams.
When you have the upper control arm off, then you can tackle the control arm bushings. By the sound of things, your bushings are going to be difficult to remove fron the shaft...Got a torch?
Once you have the bushings off, I would recommend replacing the shafts and the bushings. The bushings have to be pressed on to the shaft.
I would suggest that if you have tools and skill, remove the control arm and have a shop replace the bushings (and shafts if nessessary), then install the control arms and go get an alignment.

ive always found this the best way to do it. the professionals can do it much faster and it beats me fighting with them - especially trying to get the old bushings out.
