abs light comes on heat shuts off

when i am driving down the road the abs light will come on and my fan will quit.  its my moms car so i dont know a ton about it but thats what she told me anyways.  could this be a ground or fuse, i did a new ignition switch about a year ago.  also after the new ignition switch she can either use the radio or the cruise any ideas on that, did i get the wrong year ignition switch?

The ignition switch should not cause one feature to work only while another feature is not being used.  Sounds like you have either a bad ground that is causing current to back feed through anything it can, or you have some crossed wires somewhere under the dash... 

Let me see if I can dig up some wiring diagrams for the affected systems and see what is common to them.

*EDIT* - I couldn't find anything related between the HVAC fan and the ABS system...  I'm still looking for some explaination about the cruise & radio.
