Hello, my ABS light is on (1991 s10 4x4 TBI, 4 door). I reset the ABS circuit/codes using a jumper wire, but it comes right back on as soon as it is powered up/started. Does this mean its the EBCM? Or is the BCM part of the engine ECM? Where do I go from here??
Thanks

Anybody? Can someone tell me where the ABS brain (BCM?) is located at?

The ABS control module should be located on the side of the ABS unit itself.
What codes came up? Might point to what is wrong... Just a thought...

I bought a code checker for 29.99 and determined why my light was on. It was a faulty front wheel sensor. Usually there is a problem when that light stays on. While I still had normal brake operation I did not have 4WAL until I replaced the sensor. I suggest you figure out the problem - fix it - then reset the light to off. Or if you are happy with regular brakes just unplug the light.
I cannot remember where I purchased the code reader from but I simply did a google search and found one. They are complete with instructions and the list of problems for each code and are really easy to use. I thought it much better than connecting the terminals with jumper wires.

Oh the brain plugin is below the steering column between your legs.
