Like the topic says...i swapped the heater core out on my 2001 GMC jimmy and now it will not start.....just cranks......i am almost postive i hooked all harness' back up.  I check voltage at the ignition harness and it is all good.....any have any suggestions?

Is the battery grounded properly?

It seems to be because the engine cranks just fine and all componants on the dash and radio are working fine also.

Update....there is not spark out of the dizzy so i am leaning towards something in the dash not hooked correctly

Keep us posted. Sure sounds like something didn't get a good connection.

Did you happen to disconnect and move the PCM out of the way?...........hmmm, maybe a poor connection there.

Yes I did move the PCM up and out of the way becuase i had to remove the inner fender which sets on that fender.

UPDATE:  There is no output from the Coil.  Does anyone know of a way to test the coil or know what voltage is suppose to be present on the wire harness that are going into the coil?  Thanks

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Measure the coil ignition 1 voltage with a DMM connected to a ground.

Does the voltage measure above the specified value?

10.0 V

Probe the IC timing control circuit with a DMM set to the AC scale connected to a ground.
    Crank the engine.
Observe the voltage while the engine is being cranked.

Does the voltage measure within the specified values?

1.0-4.0 V
Sorry I don't have time for more detail at the moment.
Do you have a manual of some sort?

Where will i find the IC timing control circuit

This does not have any voltage present..........and all fuses (that i can find) are good

Check for an open or shorted to ground ignition positive voltage circuit at terminal A of the ignition coil.

It sounds like either something didn't get connected. Did you check for bent pins in the connectors of the PCM or any other connectors that you may have removed?

Sorry....there is voltage at the Pink wire at the coil.....there is also voltage at the Ignition Control module.  There is a extra wire at the coil's harness that is white/black and it runs to the ICM....i am not sure how to test this wire ......any suggestions and also sorry about the last post that said i had no voltage at the coil i was using the DMM wrong (wrong setting :-)

Maybe this will help
