I am almost completely done with my motor swap. All I have left to do is tie up a couple of wires and get a new set of valve covers. I also decided to install a lift kit and put some bigger tires on it. I put new torsion keys in front and made my shackles for the back. I'm not sure how much of a lift I got because it was already lowered when I got it. But I did go about 5 inches higher than it was. I also got a set of 33" tires for really cheap, so I mounted them and put them on. I clear them no problem in the back, but do rub a little at full turn in front.
I will post pictures tomorrow after I get off work.

Seems to me that you are going to have to trim a lot and do a body lift, because those are big tires to fit with not very much lift. Oh ya and some PICS!

It looks and drives great.
As for the trimming to make the tires fit, it was minimal. All I had to do is trim a little bit off of the front valence (as seen in the last pic). They still rub on the frame at full lock, but I rarely turn that sharp.
I gave it a bath and took a couple of pictures for ya. I will post some of the engine bay tomorrow.

I got some engine bay pics after I adjusted my valves. I also took a pic of my brothers blazer (blazin97) next to mine.

Man you said you did a little bit of trimming to clear the 33's....I didn't think you meant half the valence

Nice trucks though!  Wanna come do my V8 swap now?

NC is a bit far for me to drive to help ya out. If you were closer, I would lend a hand no problem.
I have a new valence that just needs to be put back on.

Yah he tried to drive over a snow drift last year and destroid the lower valance, the bottom pic in post 6 is what he trimmed.

i want to crank my torsion bars 1.5" and put in 2" shackles, the only thing im worried about is the stress that the torsion bar crank is going to put on my front end....how bad is a torsion bar crank for your front end?

Do you have to go through emissions?

Cranking your torsion bars will of course cause more wear on your front suspension, steering, and drivetrain. Short term you won't even notice it unless it is wore out already.

I don't have to go through emissions. Illinois supposedly has mandatory random emission testing, but I will deal with that when it comes.

That v8 swap looks awsome. Whenever my 4.3L dies, that's what I will be swaping in.
