Well ever sicne I put my sub/amp in, my truck sounds like its supercharged....

with the alt whinning noise...well I finally warrentied the alt, and now 3 days later its back to makin the same whinning noise, not as obnxious as before, but its starting up again!

What can I do to prevent this? Will a cap prevent this? or do I have to splurge and buy a high output alt (somehting I dont wanna do)?

Then it's something else killing your alt... I'm pulling way more power than you, on a completely stock and factory setup...

Battery connections are good?

Maybe got bad luck and a bum alt. the second time around?

Twice though? Really?

All connections are solid. pos and neg.  Does your volt guage bounce up and down when your bass hits??

Mine goes from above 14 to 14 to just barely back above 14....hmmm

I never really paid attention to it... But probably.

I know if I left all my lights on at idle (and even while cruising on the highway @ 2000 RPM) it would drop below 14, lol.

My blazer idles around 14.3 when on. You should get a capacitor or a red/yellow top battery it will take alot of stress off you alternator/battery. Are you shore the sound is comming from your alternator and if so and its remanufactured it might be the bearings inside. If its not comming from the alternator it might be the belt tentioner it if it bounced alot you need a new one. Thats what i had to do  for my truck new belt tensioner and the alternator bearing squeaked got a new one and all good now :) !

I am assuming the noise is coming from the speakers right?  Gets louder with increased rpm right?  Sounds like a supercharger right?  If yes then.....

You guys are all mistaken... the alternator whine you are experiencing is not do to it being over exerted or simply bad, but do to an installation/equipment flaw.

1.  Ground loop
2.  Power wire and rcas too close= interference
3.  Using shiity non-shielded rca's (most likely the cause)

Start with the ground from your amp... it should be tightly contacting BARE metal.  Make sure your power wire and rca's are at least 20" from each other.  Last invest in some decent shielded or twisted RCA's.

A cap is nothing but a bandaid waste of money...
