might be gettin a deal on a set of 12's but i got a question how do yall hook up the amp to the battery? mine is the side terminal and there rubber so there no way of sliding a wire connecter over the battery post. so i was wonder how yall did urs?

prefect excuse to upgrade to a new battery. I have side posts and top posts.

i had one car like that. i used a dremel and a sanding drum to sand back just enough rubber so that my terminal ring would fit on there, it still sealed great, and it worked perfictly for years.

I did similar to Zygoat on mine until I purchased my optima. On most of my old cars a cut the factory wiring and used a battery terminal like this

You might look to see if you have a power outpost anywhere in the engine compartment. On my old '84 there was a power post right above the engine that had my amp, car alarm, driving/fog lights and a couple other factory things hooked up to it. On my new 2000 I am pretty sure there is one almost in the same spot, I haven't come close to switching subs over yet so I just took a glance for it.

brand new battery so taht out and im not real sure what yall are talkin botu cut thje rubber. and no i can get teh rest of it hooked up ive just never hooked one up with side terminals.

there is a rubber seal/insulation around the terminal(wire end) if you cut that bck you can fit a ring terminal in there. you might have to get a GM post extender.

i switched over to a yellow top so i have top and side posts. but you can always to the post extenders like hillbilly said

got it figured out gonna have a buddy help me. he did it in his satern so it the same deal with my blazer. but thanks for the help.
