I know there has to be some thing we`ve overlooked here! hmmmm prolly irrelevant but did you check your inline fuse from the battery to the amp

first check your ground against your battery. put your DMM on Ohms and run a piece of wire to the amp neg terminal and then touch the end of one test lead to it and the other test lead to the ground. if not below .5. bad ground. check fuse. no, with same line to battery, check remote line and connection for amp to battery. that is a true ground.
Post up your results and I will figure this out.!!

It was my main power fuse...not blown, but the soldering had come loose, so the inside of the fuse separated. Thanks for all your help.

that sucks. thought you said that you had 12v at the amp from the power wire.

Nobody listens to me...why should you be any different?
Seriously though, it was 12v on the remote line...I was getting nothing from the main lead.
I appreciate everyone's help. BTW, what part of OH are you in? From the "hillbilly" part, I would guess near Wheelersburg.

Actually from Zanesville/ farm in adamsville. but I live in North Canton now.
