What year/model blazer are we talking about? If it's the fullsize, then the diesel from the fullsize trucks can be installed with very little modification if using the same year range donor vehicle.
With the s-series trucks, you'd need to modify quite a bit of stuff and that is all subject to finding a motor that will fit underhood.
Have any more specific information on this query?

A Duramax in a fullsize Blazer would be fun to see, but if someone can put a Cummins into a Dakota, I'm sure you can squeeze a diesel into an S-Series...

It can be done, Im going to do it eventually once the 4.3 blows up.
I can get a duramax in there easily, there is plenty of room but im going SFA as well so Ill have more fenderwell clearance when I get to that point.
I do believe you can find some diesel S-Series on google videos or youtube

It would be goin into a 97 2dr if and when the 4.3l lets go. Im not sure what type of diesel engine i would use as for im not too familiar with their size at the moment.

Well, the Cummin's would probably be an extremely tight fit, since it's an inline 6...

it can be and has been done. As some of you know i work for Caterpillar and there is a guy at work with a cat diesel in his s10. Its an inline 6 makes 300hp @ 2500 rpm and 520 ft lbs of torque @ 1440. ill try to get pics soon if anyone is interested. forgot to add that the european made s10 is factory with a 1.9 litre Isuzu diesel.

I live by Cat Headquarters and would love to see pics of that Cat engine in the S10. I might be able to find one around here someplace. Seeing as how the engine test center isn't too far from me.

Just so you know, Cat makes some really good V6 diesel's as well... My uncle has one in his combine, lol... It's smaller in overall size than the 4.3
