Well I was...saturday night I left work around 8 p.m...and got home at 4 a.m! And yeah, so you know, from my doorstep to my job is 27 miles! A tanker of Titanium Tetrachloride was involved in an accident on the interstate and overturned, and the chemical started leaking onto the highway, so the interstate was shut down from about 3 in the afternoon on Saturday until about 10 a.m. today, Monday. Meanwhile in order to get home I was diverted an extra 60 miles in stop and go traffic, with a manual transmission going uphill the whole time. Was not my idea of a good time.
If I''''m grateful for one thing my mom has taught me, it would be, "Pee before you leave!"
Here''''s a linky...

Okay I made a picture up to show how ridiculous the diversion I had to take was. And no, I worked today, but I was off on sunday and I''m off tomorrow. BTW the blue I marked is the route I had to take, whereas I usually just take interstate 40 straight there.

Remember the October storm of buffalo a few years back?
I was stuck on the interstate for 8 hours because the snow piled so high in such a fast of time.
I didnt have my truck at the time or i would have made my own path, just my moms cobalt! BAD!!
Now take the time you spent and add in 16 degree weather

I been there Zas, except we DID lose power, during hurricane season, and everyone was there because they got evacuated and we didn''t. 105 degree humid weather and no A/C.....no hot water, everything cooking on a BBQ grill.

That would suck. The longest Ive been stuck was probably 2 hours waiting to get out of the race track at a National Event.

A few years back I got stuck on Londons M1 motorway (the worlds largest carpark) just past Heathrow airport for about 7 hours because there was an accident at the off ramp to & another on the feeder road to Kingston-upon-Thames. I made it to a gas station with about a litre or so to spare. We were about 8 miles from home at the time.

I was once but then they decided just to turn the entire high way around and drive backwards to the first off ramp

A few years back I was stuck on I-79 heading south. There was an overturned tractor trailer, which lost its load of rolled sheet metal, was stuck there for a good hour and a half to two hours... later on in that same trip we were travelling through north carolina (8 lanes of rush hour traffic going 60-70mph) and the car infront of us lost their luggage off the top, we ran over one of their duffle bags and clothes spilled out all over the highway, no one was hurt so we just kept going...

Me and my brother were stuck on one of the interstates outside of Rockford, IL. We were going to a Metallica concert and it took us 2 1/2 hours to go 3 miles. The worst part of it was we were in his ranger and it was a stick, and we were uphill most of the way. Did I also forget to mention that he wasn''t real good at driving a stick.
Yah, it sucked!!
