Thank GOD I have a desk job now! My retail days are over since college. Well, I had a part time stint a year ago in Future Shop to earn some extra cash...never again! Boxing day sale and me just don't mix.

This is the first year I will NOT be working retail......thank god.....I worked retail since I was about 16...so like 12 years now....yeah.....Friday was always fun for me.....the people that were the worst..are the matching santa sweater wearing santa hat wearing..with those stupid jingle bell earings......oh....just FULL of good cheer....don't make me go back into how much I hate the holidays and all that is christmas....oh...and black friday starts the annual month long of depression and suicide attempts.....(wow am I negative tonight or what?)

i work retail....as a matter of fact i started yesterday. but im off on friday and saturday and im pretty happy i don't have to do black friday.

I'm so glad we don't have a Black Friday here in Canada...it's already nuts as it is with people gearing up for Christmas already.
Oh, and whistle, I had that image before that you have in your avatar and I still LMAO whenever I see it!

I don’t work retail but I work in a seafood restaurant that is next to a circuit of malls. So all these people from other states come up to shop here and then want to eat something and since we are the only real restaurant in the area we get slammed. We also seat over 500 people so that doesn’t help any. Tomorrow will be an interesting day.

Black Friday is SWEET! I'm actually looking forward to it! I mean it's only one day to see people go absolutely bonkers and it's fun as hell! My first Black Friday in retail I was 17 and a cashier at Wal-Mart, had a solid line for 4 hours, break and then 4 more hours of solid lines. I sold like $25,000 in crap that day! That day went by super fast since I was busy from the second I clocked in.
Next two years I was delivering parts or detailing cars so I was away from the whole Black Friday crap but tomorrow is my step back into that reality. I'm a parts guy at Advance Auto Parts and I'm prepared to sell a lot of gift cards, antifreeze, rain-x washer fluid, brakes, car covers and every other stupid thing people don't remember!!!
BRING IT ON AMERICA!!!!!

i worked retail on black friday back in 97 at walmart, i remember they had us come in at 2am then we got off at around 2pm, for a 17 year old having never worked 12 hours in one day it was murder...now that i am in the army and 12 hours is a short day, i wonder what it'll be like when i go back to retail when i get out
