Welcome to the site kad!

In like '99 or '00 (sources I found can't make up their mind), they did away with the base model Blazer. By making some of the LS options standard, the LS trim level became the base model. As far as the differences between LS & LT trim levels... Well...

Closest info I could find for you is this:
quote:

'98 Preferred Equipment Group 1SD - includes:
LT trim: tilt steering & cruise control, power windows, mirrors, door locks, roof-mounted luggage carrier, AM/FM/cassette stereo, electric air conditioning, bucket seats with console, Premium suspension package, P235/70R15 blackwall tires,Tachometer, foglamps, Homelink transmitter

But I cannot verify the validity of it...

i hav a 98 base model

it is bear bones

it does hav pwr windows, locks and mirrors

bench front seat which i like better then the buckets cause then i can get more people in there legally and it makes it easier for having the person in shotgun slide over

mine does not even hav a tinted rear windsheild but i dont kno if that was because something happened to the old one and the previous owner just bought a cheaper one or whatever

i cant think of any options that came on my blazer stock stock stock

wow i really cant think of any upgrades...weird

im leaning more towards a 99 LS looks good and has a bunch of good stuff, i'd rather have buckets then a bench, now to find one at a reasonable price
