blows, but no heat, loud noise in front.

Have a 2000 with climate control. It used to blow so hot, it would melt your face. Now, it just blows cool air.

Also, loud noise coming from front passenger side..........passenger keep thinking my Blazer won't shift into a higher gear, but that is fine. Any ideas?
