Today while driving down the road, there was a guy in a brown suburu station wagon, with a bumper stick on the back that said "bad cop, no donut" htat is pretty much a guaranteed ticket, not really sure what would posess someone to put that on their car.
I've heard of "state contributer" stickers, that if you donate to the state police they give you a sticker and state police will gibe you just a warning if you get pulled over.

1.) It's America, FREE SPEECH!
2.) They're PBA (Police Benevolent's Association) or FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) stickers. Will they cause an officer to take it easy on you? It's a possibility. Will it get you out of vehicular homicide...NOPE.

I understand that it is freedom of speech, but if that guy gets pulled over, it could easily piss the cop off, causing him to get a ticket that possibly could have been a warning.

ya if the guy were to get a ticket it would make the cop more and would change his mind from a warning to a ticket or a more expensive ticket.

Haha...i have what's called a "thin blue line" sticker. It doesn't really serve a purpose other than when a cop sees my vehicle, they know that I'm either A) a police officer or B) a police officer's family member.
But every now & then you get the cop that doesn't want to write up another officer's family, so sometimes they let you go, and sometimes, they don't even pull you over. Personally....I don't like getting tickets... but if I'm doing something wrong, I need to be called on it. I wouldn't want them to let someone else off, I would want them to be doing their job, you know? Security is important.
Oh, and as long as we're on the subject.... I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "Don't steal. The government HATES competition"

Hey if people want to drive around looking like a**holes then good for them. Just hope they don't expect to get the same treatment as us nice polite people.

My husband has a t-shirt that has a picture of a donut hiding behind a brick wall, and it says "I'm hiding from the Cops"

Sticker or no sticker...if the cops having a bad day...you are going to get a ticket...if he's having a really bad day...yeah your in for it...besides...most law enforcers have a pretty twisted sense of humor...might actually find it funny...besides everyone knows bagels are the politically correct police officer food...I think you would more likely to get pulled over if you have a big ol' pot leaf on your window...or a string of jerry bears...not to mention those little teeny rims..and a flashy paint job...or a really stupid looking fin sticking off of your neon..most police officers really really don't want to do a bunch of paper work....so that's why a lot of times you get warnings..instead of tickets..

In Californa they have a 11-99 "club" that is similar to this. Donate so much(thinking around 10-20k)+ and get a liscense plate frame. Then once or twice a year they have a meet in SoCal where they block off the roads and let you go as fast as the front police cars(~120).
EDIT: Its 25k a year to get the Frame and invite to the run.

I got a ticket for the bad cop, no donut sticker!! I used to have one on my nissan a few years ago and I got a ticket for a whopping 5mph over the speed limit, cop said if I didn't have that stupid sticker I would have gotten off and not been pulled over!!

Ive been pulled over 3 times here in portland: 1 speed related, One for having a white bulb in my tail light, and 1 for towing a small trailer without lights and missing a fender. Never got a ticket though, Ive always been let off with a warning. I just say "yes sir" and "no sir", just be poilite and say sir (or ma'am). I get out my licenseand registration, roll down all my windows, and then put both hands on the steering wheel. At night I turn on the interior lights so the officer can see inside before he gets close. long story short: being polite goes a long way. I dont know why people like to mock the police; sure, no one likes getting ticket, but no one likes crime infested streets either.

Don't even get me started.... needless to say I've had some very bad experiences with some a-hole cops.
I saw in the paper the other day about a woman running a policeman off her property. Apparently he was clocking people from her property, spinning tires on her lawn and returning to his perch over and over withing the day....the kicker was, she lived in a suburban neighborhood, not on a farm or large rural property.

Call 911 saying there's a white 4 door sedan spinning their tires on the lawn...

They use to have a radio DJ here in Dallas that would run a contest. He would have people call in then while they were on the line call up donut shops. He would have the caller bet "cop or not" and ask the person in the donut shop who answered the phone if there was a cop there. If the caller guessed right he would win a prize. Funny thing is most of the time there was a cop there. Your tax dollars at work making donut shops safe for everyone.
I work for the state and have a state ID, I also work part time in the county hospital and have a county ID and I have a CHL. If I ever get pulled over they end up just shootin the **** with me then telling me to have a nice day....

ya only been pulled over 3 times and only one ticket for speeding 15 over. that cop was an ahole (musta had a bad day) the other 2 times were for doughnuts in a snow covered parking lot (just got a warning) and the other time was for drifting on an open street (no cars around) again another warning. (coulda been a $109 ticket). in my experince tho (not to be sexist or anything like that) women officers have been more of an ahole to me or my friends. one time my friend made a wrong turn and went around the block well a cop followed us. then pulled us over for not having a front plate but my friend was borrowing the car from his neighbor for the day while his car was getting exhaust done. and she acted like she wanted to give us a ticket but couldnt and was real mean to us and stuff.

I would have to say I have had the best luck with female cops, especially the ones in my area!!

There is a few newbie female cops that have pulled me over for riding too low but let me off with a warning cause they actually love blazers and thought mine was really nice!! I sometimes run into them at the gas station down the road when they are not in uniform and oohh they are hott and really nice!!
