Well do you guys think that the 4L60E transmission can handle 400hp stock because on machperformance.com they have a S/C kit that claims to make 400hp and the guarranty it w/out a transmission rebuild, just wondering if yall thought it was possible

If you blow it go find an 8.5 inch and try again.

I got some doubt the transmission may handle it.

A transmission manufactured to handle about 200HP will difficulty handle the double in my opinion. Or in the best case if it handles it, it would not be for a long time, that's for sure, it woulnd't last long!

I had an 88 full size that pushed 470HP on a 4L60. Had no trouble till a shop didn't put the trans filter on good. It fell off an roasted the trans.

Most would prefer the 350tH but I have seen a lot put in front of a 4L60 and have seen little trouble at all. Can't say none though. I know that over 600HP will [WILL] make the output shaft look like a pencil. I will be using the a4L60 for most anything as I like the overdrive. I use a bit of fuel so when I get on the highway and my RPMs fall to the floor it makes my pocket feel better. Anyway I say it will to an extent. You may have trouble with the rear gearing. If there is to much of a bite at the tires you may blow the tail on the trans so add a carrier or driveshaft ring just in case.
