capacitor

hey i know i just asked this b4 but all u guys with multiple subs what did u do to beaf up that area do u think capacitors are a waste of time cuz listening to my sound system tonight i noticed that idleing my truck keeps at about 14 volts with the soundsystem at as loud as i want it but when bass hits it really goes back and forth between one notch under and one notch over so it stays inbetween 13.5 and 15 volts...it sounds to me right now its just a capacitor problem but with an adition of another 700watts of power going to the subs it will make it even more surgy will it still be a capacitor problem or would it then become an alternator problem or somthing else...please let me know, im in a position that i dont know what to do and nobody is giving me any direction becasue i am the first of my friends to get a big enough system that this is a problem

Like I said already I would reamp your alt. and get a 2 farad cap. But thats just me. I had to do both in my 87 Blazer because my amp pulled a ton of power.

if i have t o seperate amps can i do only one 2 farad cap or do i have to do two 1 farad caps

I would run one cap and run 2 wires off the pos. post.

Caps are a waste of time and money, all they do is create another item for your alternator to charge. Get an aftermarket H.O alternator, a good battery and upgrade the big 3...
