Carfax

I got a guy who has them free for a year post your VIN and ill hook you guys up

Be careful, I've done some research and have found that Carfax has been running searches for stuff like this and cancelling the account-holder's account that was running Carfax's for free.  But I suppose if they don't know the original account holder...

sounds like a scam to me.  i personally wouldn't give my information to anyone I didn't know.

Thats fine. I completely understand but if you think im a scam then I guess we all have our opinions. Im not going to convince anything to you I was only trying to do a good deed.

IMO, this is no different than you going around to vehicles in a parking lot and recording their VIN.  Same thing is true for people that cover up their license plate in online pictures...  Protect their identity?  Somewhat... 

To make it a bit easier to handle, maybe post here that you PM'd c0a8l0v6i8n9 your VIN and then PM it to him to run the report.  Then he can PM you the report or email it to you if you include your email address in the PM.  Your choice, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it if I had a need to.

Now I feel like an idiot I didn't even know they gave free weeks until someone *cough* Kyle *cough* told me. Sorry for the jumping down your throat part.

Not free weeks, but they have different costs.  When I needed a carfax report for a vehicle I was looking to buy, I just paid for the week long level.  You can also pay more for a full year of unlimited reports.  Every once in awhile they'll have a promotion where you can run free reports for a day or whatever.

I had no idea. I remember running a carfax report for my blazer and there was 25 entries, but I didn't want to pay the 25 bucks to get the report. I wonder what was on there?

I should have a bunch for you guys tomorrow! The guy has been busy. He owns his own dealership so the dealers get a special year for a good price so hes helping out!

Thanks man!  Never seen such a clear report before, but then again, I knew the history on my Rainier before I bought it as well.

thanks man, turns out my truck is from NC.  its good knowing that theres never been any major accident or anything like that. only things in my report is inspections/dealer work...

Got mine... It was only wrecked once according to the report and that was when my aunt rear-ended a car with it. I knew that, but I didn't know if anything had happened to it when the 1st owner had it. I'm kinda glad she did... the brown bumper cover was replaced with a black one, but then again, a used grille shell was put on it as well...
