Hi,
I have been trying to figure out for awhile what this clicking noise is coming from my dash. It sounds like an electrical ticking sound and it varies a lot in volume depending on driving conditions. It seems to get louder, the rougher the road is. It sounds like its coming from behind the radio. I'm pretty sure sure it's not the blinker noise that a lot of people here seem to have, I also have that, but that's a different issue altogether. Could it possibly have anything to do with the 4 wheel drive, because the lower mounting bracket on my front differential is broken off and the Blazer tries to go into 4 wheel drive by itself sometimes and makes a loud siren noise. I have to put it into 4 high and then back into 2 and that makes it stop. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dion

I have a similar problem on my '02 TB. On cold start, there is a clicking sound coming from the dash. It has nothing to do with A/C, the radio, blinkers, engine speed...nothing. If I turn my TB off, then start it again, the noise is gone. I have had the "instrument cluster" replaced twice. The noise went away for a day or two and then returned. Anyone have any suggestions on what this could be? The mechanics at Chevy are stumped too.

Sounds like the trasfer case shift control module. That's the only component related to the 4wheel drive located in the dash that I can think of, and a faulty module can "click"
I would check for a loose electrical connection at the module.
