96 blazer 4x4 4.3 .code P0440 what can the problem be. (evaporative emmission control system malfunction)
also P0147 (O2 sensor heater circut malfunction) (bank 1 sensor 3) I think that is what the code is. where is the part located and does it need to be replaced? thanks in advance

P0440 is typically caused by either over filling the gas tank, a loose gas cap, or a bad gas cap. I would tighten down the cap and see if it goes away.
As far as the B1S3 sensor code... It all depends on if you have 4 O2 sensors. There will be 2 before the 'y' in the y-pipe, possibly 1 before the catalytic converter and definitely 1 after the cat. If you have 3, it is the post cat sensor. If 4, directly ahead of the cat.

Well, to add to this, if you have 4 sensors, first try switching the pre and post cat sensors and see if the code follows the move. If it does, then it is most likely a failing sensor.
For O2 sensors, I only use AC Delco. I have a scanner that allows me to view the sensor data and I have seen brand new sensor traces from a VERY wide variety of sensors. The AC Delco sensors have MUCH better activity when new than other sensors. Only one other sensor that I have seen has been close to the AC Delco and that was an NGK sensor. The Borg Warner and Bosch were far less active than even the NGK.
And I have heard unconfirmed reports that NGK makes the sensors for AC Delco, but again, that is unconfirmed. From my first hand experience with the NGKs, I still don't feel they are as good as the Delcos.
If you have an AC Delco retailer near you, you can get the O2 sensors for about $45-50 each.
