Ive been noticing that my 1992 K1500 has been knocking when I first start it in the morning but then the knock goes away after a few minutes, of course Im thinking, "here we go.. pans commin off this weekend" but then I stumbled across this artical that I didnt know about so I thought I would share it, here it is...

good to know, but it also sounds like gm is just b-****ting the public so we are forced to use the dealership. like that stupid oil change light in my 04 express van that wont go off unless the dealership puts in a code or it violates their warranty if a mechanic does it.

that just further proves my theroy on how GM is under communist rule... J/K
 
They probably have a service bulliten for a rod hanging out of the side of the block and why thats normal too

Rooster, On your 04 van turn the key on and push the gas pedal down 3 times within  10 seconds of turning the key on and that should reset your change oil light.  Korey.
