Hello,
I would like to know if a 2000 engine and tranny work with my 97 computer and harness. Anyone have any idea? Please?

Sorry... Seems this fell through the cracks and never got answered.
A 2k motor should not be any different than a '97 motor. I believe even the plugs and all are the same. To verify, go to your nearest junk yard and take a look around.
