I know this has been asked before but I haven't been able to find out, What electric fan setup would be the best and easiest to use to replace the clutch fan in my 02 4.3 2wd blazer?
Just curious why you want to take out the clutch fan for an electric one? I for one would RATHER a clutch fan, you KNOW that it will never not turn on. I had a Trans Am (1988) that had an electric fan and I cant even tell you how many times I had to fight with the sensors, replace them for aftermarket to make sure they turned on and then finally a freaking fan switch that I controlled when that sucker turned on. It would never turn on in time and caused such problems. I would think with a clutch fan at least you KNOW its on, peace of mind I say. lol

You are correct in that the fan will almost always be there when required but I really don't like the loud noise it creates. I am willing to put up with the dangers for the reduced noise factor.
I did some more checking and found enough info to get started with a Taurus fan assembly!

As you have found, the 3.8L Taurus V6 E-fan is plentiful in junkyard and cheap, also fits the Blazer's radiator well.
Beware that the E-fans can draw a lot of amps when first switching on. You shouldnt have to worry about this unless you have a lot of high-draw electrical items in your car (ex:amps, off-road lights)
