I dropped something on my sub cone and cracked it ever so slightly. (about 1/4") What can I use to keep the crack from getting bigger? I put some hot glue on it for the time being and I think I might pull it out and use a thin layer of silicone caulk on the back of it. Will this affect the dynamics of the sub?

what is the cone made of? it wouldnt be a RF punch would it? hot glue and silicone arent going to do squat. CA glue may help but no guarantees.

RT series? My gf has 2 mtxRT12"s in her car. I love them as a budget woofer.

Yeah Road Thunders. They do hit hard for the price.
Yeah I'll have to try epoxy.

I'm thinking resin or epoxy.
The hot glue has done a hell of a job holding it together for the time being.

you could always get the cone replaced, cost me 15 bucks to get a new cone installed on one of my Infinity Kappa 12's i used to have, a kid set a cell phone on it and turned it up to see what it would do, kid wasnt to bright. i told him he had to buy me a new sub, never talked to him since really.

I'm going to repair it on the inside. I have the hot glue on it now and it hasn't cracked further after thumping them ans hard as they would thump. I think I may go ahead and buy another 2 RTs and take the cracked sub out and run the three subs. I'll just build another sub cell onto the side of my box

stuff called goop on the inside of the crack would work the best.

Epoxy'd it yesterday. Held nicely so far... its 1hr epoxy. I laid some fiberglass threads in the epoxy for a little extra strength because I had to apply a thin layer.
