Hi there,
I just bought a 99 Chev Blazer with a 4 wheel drive problem....it has switch for 2 hi,4 high(which is always lit)and 2 lo....so when i pushed a button it flashed but the 4 hi light is always staying lit.....so i checked all the vacuum lines and everything seems to be in its right place, actuator works(when i start engine the actuator draws itself in,and when i unplug vacuum with engine running spring moves back out,is that the way its suppose to work....)   as i was laying on my back looking up at transfer case i see the electronic shift motor is broken(the part which connects to power source)....is this the cause of my problem, why the 4 hi light is always on  or did i miss something else ??? and my other question before i replace the shift motor with new part, was it something internal that made this break

Thanks

It is possible that the part was broken by something when the truck was taken 4x4 "wheeling", tree branch etc got stuffed up there and snapped the part in question breaking it.

Since you just bought it with this problem then you have probably found the solution also...
