I was wondering how many miles at about 50*F outside does it take you to get your coolant to 195ish?

are you idling those miles or just driving in traffic, or getting on the freeway?
I'd say ~5 min though.

Shouldn't be more than a few miles down the road.
My Bravada would be up to full operating temp in the motor after only 2 miles drive down the road, jumping in, starting it and putting it in drive after a 20-30 second wait in freezing temps.

If you're concerned strictly with the coolant temperature, I agree that it should be at operating temperature within 5 minutes. If you're talking about having the entire engine system warmed up though, it will take the oil about 10-15 miles of driving before it gets to its full tempeerature and another ~10 miles to burn off the condensation in the crankcase.

Yah I thought it should warm up quicker, im going to do my flush and change the thermo with a stant premium in a week. I drove 17 miles on highway at like 75mph and some high rpm passes, and still didn't get up to 195. I am right in thinking that the gauge and the onboard comps temp readings are from different probes correct? I have looked in the past and they seem always the same between them so if they are different then they must be right.
