Mos Def - Ms. Fat Booty.

Dont let the title throw you off. Great beat!

Its got that kinda jazzy beat to it. Uses an actual Bass like the one u can play! and of course drums

Fire Frei is good as well as Asche Zu Asche, Sonne, Engel, Wo Bist Du, Amerika, Morgenstern, Zerstoren, Ich Will, Ohne Dich and Mein Teil

Edit: Now that I think about it, they make a lot of songs I like. There's also: Mein Herz Brennt, Rosenrot, Seemann, Mutter, Heirate Mich, Herzeleid, Feuer Und Wasser, and Reise Reise, except I'm not a huge fan of the guitars on that one...

Asche Zu Asche.. crucifixtion with a revenge twist

Mein Teil... cannibalism..

Heirate Mich... Necrophillia

Buch Dich-- homosexual S&M

Im not familliar with their new album stuff... I only had the first 3 CDs... (Sehnsucht, Herzeleid, and whatever the other one was--- that picture is an actual photo of a still born baby on the cover)

I generally listen to rock/classic rock but I do like pretty much all types of music. Except country I onlylisten to a select bit of country.

Favorite artists:

New rockish stuff
STP, Chili peppers, metallica, staind, The deftones, korn, Rage, mudvayne

Classic
Led zep, pink floyd, the doors, the byrds, lynard skynard, Jim croche, The beatles, phish , tom petty, grateful dead

Country
Hank, david allen coe, johnny cash, merl haggert

Rap
atmosphere, young jeezy, TI, snoop dogg

Other (don't really know what catagory to put this in)
DMB, radiohead, RJD2

Favorite song of all time is probably a tie between Pink floyd-Pigs (three different ones) and Led Zep-No quarter

Though I listen to alot of different stuff my love resides with the psycadelich rock of the 60's/70's I grew up listening to the doors and floys and the dead. I can't get enough of the stuff. Sorry about all the spelling errors, I'm pretty deep into this bottle of glenfiddich special reserve and needles to say it's treating me pretty well

you for got die Klavier....its just a beautiful song....about how she used ot play the piano and it still haunts him..it just builds and then explodes..it' kind of operatic in many forms...but many people have a hard time translating Ramstein...they are from southern bavaria and they have a slightly different dialect...I used to listen to them....but I have found that angry usic...breeds angrieness....now I just listen to hapy music....

REO speedwagon, Air Supply, Phil Collins. Yea kinda cheesy, but great vocals...probably most embarassing ones I like. oh and Chicago too.

The ones I listen to now is like Rammstein (don't know what they are saying, probably don't want to know) ACDC, The Eagles, Metallica, and the best is: Good ole SMOOTH JAZZ. and some country too. So I'm really a mix in music preferrablilty

No, you dont want to know what Rammstein is saying, I say this with great certainty.. I listened to them all through high school (bored with them now)

Name some songs you like. Ill give you the gist of their meanings.. I might get censored before my 10th post :)

So what is the words to MUTTER. Like the intro where he sounds like he's telling a story.

"Mutter".. Well.. I think the translation might speak for itself... from herzeleid.net.. creepy stuff... am I getting censored yet?

The tears of a crowd of very old children
I string them on a white hair
I throw the wet chain into the air
and wish that I had a mother

No sun shines for me
there was no breast that cried milk
there is a tube that sticks in my throat
I have no navel on my stomach

Mother

I was not allowed to lick any nipples
and there was no fold to hide in
no one gave me a name
fathered in haste and without sperm

For the mother who never gave birth to me
I have sworn tonight
I will send her a sickness
and afterwards make her sink in the river

Mother

An eel lives in her lungs
on my forehead, a birthmark
remove it with the kiss of a knife
even if it causes me to die

Mother

An eel lives in her lungs
on my forehead, a birthmark
remove it with the kiss of a knife
even if it causes me to bleed to death

Mother
Oh give me strength

Got you covered.

"Sincerely Ichabod" by Project 86

We once drew some lines in black
And right now it's about time we took them back
So bored of losing ground to the heresy
In our hearts...

With a steady steady hand hand hammer hammer
blade blade through your sweaty sweaty skin skin skin
Please don't stay
We're well past asking
This time we'll make it clear
Our point is made
You're no longer welcome here
(But we) wish you well...
With a steady steady hand hand hammer hammer
blade blade through your sweaty sweaty skin skin skin

Off with your head
We'll take it all back and then some
Never again...Off with your head
We'll cut out all that's a hinderance
Bleed the old man

And just in case you want to protest
Your eviction, imminent
With a rolling head
On the dirty pavement
And just in case you want to contest
Your destruction, evident
The decision, permanent
We'll send you out so you'll know that you will find a bright shiny new home on the other side
(Never again
Never again will you)

You're no longer welcome here
(But we) wish you well

With a steady steady hand hand hammer hammer
blade blade through your sweaty sweaty skin skin skin
I know who I am in the depths of
Spirit and truth
I've seen the face of redemption
And He isn't you
I'm through indulging the tastes of
My cruelest nature
So I think this blade better suits you

Since we're the ones
Who occupy this temple
We'll be the ones
Who'll show you out

"Subject to Change" by Project 86

Relent to your useless devices
Retreat, your last line of defense
Regress to the hollow relationships that shield you from yourself

Relent to your fortress of skin
Retreat, anything to distract
Regress to your hands as they cover your eyes
But you can't help but peek through the cracks

Cold, hard dread swelling into parallels
To everything you ever said you'd repel
Once with a glimpse now
Second your guess it's
Tough to admit and admit and admit that

Your fate's still undecided
Return
Return
Return

Relent, to the terror that distances you
Retreat, to the habitual grins
Regress to the deception, quiet and tame
Once was transformed, now exactly the same
Remember when you nearly plunged into embrace?
But instead you've chosen to keep it all at bay

Return to yourself

"Undying" by Demon Hunter

Ever since the day that I was made I’ve been deciding the end
And I was made of wood and stone that won’t diminish or bend
So when the heavy hand of death is here to take me away
I’ll be the solid grip of time, forever holding my stay
Nobody ever made a force that took a beating like me
I call the earth and every scum to come and try to fight me
Cus when I made the choice to live beyond the dirt that we tread
I felt the curse of mortal limit fall before it was said

Pre-chorus:
When this season ends…

Chorus:
One final heart-break
And blinding lights will guide our way
Free us our blind state
They will call us by our name
Undying

Tearing through these days I find the tolerance to strive and push on
I know what lies beyond this life for me is already won
No one can take away the blood that covers over my fall
Without the blood of perfect life I know I’m nothing at all
So now I reign forever hallowed in eternity’s hand
No man can shake me from the everlasting ground that I stand

(Pre-chorus)

(Chorus)

We are the ones who will still remain when all is laid to waste
We are the ones who, when angels cry, will see them face to face
We are the ones

I'll be honest with you, if I listened to christian rock I would be a Christian. Organized reliegion just ain't my thing. The bible is a hell of a story (I have read it cover to cover) and it can teach us alot but I take it as that a story, written by man as his interpretation of God's word. I don't take it as "The word of God" persay.

Plus I do listen to the lyrics

LOL.. Im posting lyrics to Rammstein.. do I sound like an angel??? Im not much of a "church guy" myself, too much hypocrisy in my expereince.. Im still a Christian, but FAR from perfect. Im a pretty good distance from "halfway decent" even..

tommyd
8/21/2006 4:48:57 PM
Hahaha yes you did sound like an angel, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you here. far from half-way decent but still a beleiver. And yes I agree with you the church doesn't know what's going on half-the time they tell you whatever they think will make you go to church.

Here is some rammstein lyrics to get us back on track. This is the song Weisses Fleisch from Herzeleid
White flesh

White flesh
You in the schoolyard
I 'm ready to kill
and nobody here knows
of my loneliness
Red welts on the white skin
I 'm hurting you
and you are loudly whimpering
Now you are scared
And I am ready
My black blood
soils your dress

Your white flesh excites me so
I am just a gigolo
Your white flesh enlightens me

My black bloodyour white flesh
I 'm getting more and more excited by your screams
The sweat of fear on your white forehead
It is hailing into my sick brain

Your white flesh excites me so
I am just a gigolo
My father was just like me
Your white flesh enlightens me

Now you are scared and I am ready
My sick existence screams for redemption
Your white flesh becomes my scaffold
There is no god in my heaven

Your white flesh excites me so
I am just a gigolo
Your white flesh enlightens me
My father was just like me
Your white flesh excites me so
I am just a gigolo
Your white flesh enlightens... me

Actually, to get us back on track someone needs to tell us what song they are embarassed to say they like
BigGreenMonster
8/21/2006 5:44:57 PM
Weisses Flesich is the "Columbine" song... Thats the one that they pointed to...

Im trying to think of the most disturbing song Ive ever heard... It can be on so many levels...

That song "Inside of You" by Hoobastank is so blatantly dirty, but Ive heard it get frequent airplay. Its always better for the ones that the younglings arent old enough to quite understand, censors dont worry about those.

It seems so obvious
Theres something up with us
I swear I feel it
From across the room.
So can I ask you this?
Not to be forward, miss,
But I think I'll kill myself
If I never know...

What do I have to do
To get inside of you?
To get inside of you?
Cuz I love the way you move,
When I'm inside of you.
When I'm inside of you...

Just ask and I will do
Anything you want me to
There is no limit
To how far I will go..
And Im sure I can't pretend
To be a gentlemen..
But before I began,
I just gotta know,
Just gotta know....

What do I have to do
To get inside of you?
To get inside of you?
Cuz I love the way you move,
When I'm inside of you.
When I'm inside of you...

For now I'll play the game
And I'm waiting for your move
But I've got to say
That I never lose..

What do I have to do
To get inside of you?
To get inside of you?
What do I have to do
To get inside of you?
To get inside of you?
Cuz I love the way you move,
When I'm inside of you.
When I'm inside of you...
When I'm inside of you.
You...
You...
You...
When I'm inside of you...

Very good question, lol

While I'm at it I will toss in my dos pesetas, Christian rock has it's moments. With many of the artists it takes me awhile to even realize that it is christian rock. Creed, Switchfoot, Thrice, Blindside, or even Relient K are all great examples of this.

How about Gnarls Barkley? Anyone heard of him?

And I am a Christian and find the Bible as God's word. Not a story. I don't want to start a religious debate (against the rules of most forums along with politics) but I had to reply to tommyd's post.

don't forget POD in there which actually had some good sound. Crred was so blatently christian rock, the lead singer constantly makes christ-like poses through the entire video. I wish he wouldn't sing in that voice either.

And no I'm not trying to start a religious debate either I respect that people beleive and they're not right and neither am I but I just don't like people in my face about religion (not saying you were) especially the people that knock on my door at 8 in the morning on sunday and wake me up to try and get me to go to their church. If you tell them you're a Muslim though they don't ever come back
BigGreenMonster

Creed is "blatantly" Christian rock? My poor boy, you have been decieved by the evil one ... They are alright, but their actions off the stage are not all that impressive... (lest I not judge of course)..

POD is decent... Kind of hiphoppy reggae stuff..

Relient K would be a more likely candiate for "blatantly" Christian,, suprised you didnt gather that one.. I like them, one of the more "biblically oriented" Christian bands. Their songs have a general "warm feeling" to them.

As far as the bands that you dont realize at first are Christian,, these are the best kinds... I will be quite frank,, "church music" sucks badly..

Ive never heard of Gnarls..

I like the heavy stuff, I already posted some lyrics to those..
