I finally got my blazer back on the road. It has been down for almost 2 months. I pulled the motor about 6-7 weeks ago.
I had to put a rear main seal in it. I must have forgotten to replace it when i resealed the engine. I also put a Voodoo cam in it along with a double roller timing set.
I went ahead and modified my oil pan so it cleared the differential. I ended up chopping about an inch out of it. Once I had it rewelded, it weeped in a couple of spots. I found a product online that was made just for that, Lab-Metal. It is great. It is a one part epoxy that can be thinned down enough to brush on, or even spray on. I just brushed 3 coats on the inside and the outside of the pan and it is working great.
I am so happy to get my truck back!! Not to mention we just did a motor swap in my brothers new blazer, and we got it done today. He takes it tomorrow to get exhaust put on it. I will make him post some pics when he gets done.
