Hello there,
just wanted to send my congrats for your national day!!!
In the U.S. the 4th of July is a very celebrated day since it does celebrate some of the most appreciated things by americans: fireworks & alcohol...
They say in N.Y. during the 4th of July the noise of fireworks covers the daily shotguns, is it true?
At least you all got one more celebration to justify your eccessive drinking!

I'm not American, so I haven't planned anything. Just a normal Monday here...
... and jokes apart I'd like to know what's a typical celebration for this national day, what do you usually do?

Well , Get a couple of lawn chairs and a cooler full of beer and park it on the edge of town and watch the fireworks , stay there untill overrun by mosquitoes then head home.

Just because somebody drinks, doesent make them an alky, if they do it all day every day it does.
The 4th of July is ALOT more than fireworks and alcohol. We celebrate in honor of the men\women who served and died to make our country what it is. We celebrate our troops who are still fighting today. We mourn our lost soldiers. It is a very important day to me and my family.

I agree with xjeepguy. it does mean alot more than alcohol, fireworks, etc. we are thanking everyone who has given their life for our country. I just lost a good friend in Irac and it suck.
