If my blazer sits for more than a day, it will hardly start after turning the ignition over 8 to 10 times. The speed of turn over sounds normal. However, if I hook a battery charger up it starts instantly. I have had the battery tested several times and it is found to be good. It is only 18 months old. The alternator is also good. I don't think it is battery related as it can set for over a month and still turn over just fine. It did start doing this about a month after I replaced the fuel pump. I thought, maybe it had a bad connection on a wire or that a line was loose or something. I dropped the entire tank again and double check everything. Put it back together and the same thing happens. Once I start it and drive it, I can shut it off and start it as many times as I want all day long. I even swapped the relay under the hood that goes to the fuel system. No change. Anyone have an idea? I thought it might have something to do with the battery charger introducing another ground. Not sure.
