i just replaced my blazers heater core. how can the GM people be so stupid with the placement of it . it was just crazy. i did save 800 dollers thought by doing it my self just wanted to say.

Have you ever tried to design/package an HVAC system? Do you understand the complexity of such a system? Also, do you know how much more it would have cost to do it differently?
Being an engineer myself and having done this repair on a 2nd gen myself, I can understand your sentiments, but to call them stupid is a bit harsh. Now if it were impossible, then I would agree. Fact is, while very difficult to do, it is do-able. Had it been something that you needed to do on a regular or known interval, it would have been designed to be easier I am sure.
