Hi everybody! I've been meaning to stop by here for quite some time. I've heard good things about this site from a 'Blazer Girl' I know. I've been driving my '72 K5 for about 6 years now. I worked on it for a year and half before I ever drove it (it was a basket case and mostly rusted away when I got it). I will post some before and after pictures when I get some time. Here is a picture from a winter ride we just did on the weekend. Brrrrrrr! See you around.

Hey Mark! Glad to see you finally made your way onto the site.

You'll see that you are already famous on here from this link, among other pics on the site:

Yes, Definitely WELCOME! You need to get some more pics of that thing up here. That's one nice K5. I almost bought a '70 with an original 1/4 top, but the thing was rusted VERY badly and the guy wanted WAY too much for it. Should have grabbed the top though. Would have been worth some $$$.

Hiya Jenn, that is an awesome pic with the title. I love it. You're probably making everyone jealous of me before I even got here, though. Might be hard to make friends now.

Swartlkk, thats too bad it was over priced. What do you mean by 1/4 top? Here are a few pics of what I started with.

Proof you can fix anything...

The one that I had looked at was MUCH worse than that. Atleast that one was up on blocks.. The earth had taken back atleast 4" off the bottom of the body - 4" just GONE! The guy wanted $1500 for it with no motor, trans, or axles!!! Way too much! Factory 1/4 top is a hardtop that just goes over the front seats and then down with a rear window. Kinda like a short box pickup.

Thanx Bocomo.

Swartlkk: I've never seen a 1/4 top on Blazer. It would be worth some bucks for sure!

I wish I had of just grabbed the 1/4 top. It was all steel and had very little rust on it and none of it was through. They sell for BIG MONEY now.
