Hello all,
First off, let me start by introducing myself. My name is bob, and my first (automotive) love is pontiac fieros. I've owened at least one for some time now and have perfprmed a couple of motor swaps and fixed more little stuff than i care to remember. That said, those little cars can be real pains in the butt to keep running, or if you want to take more than one person or a set of golf clubs anywhere. Because of that, i purchased a larger, more people/parts firendly vehicle, A 1992 Blazer 4DR 4.3 for $300. The body is more or less rust free and aside from some fair amounts of dirt, the interior is intact. Now this brings me to my question. Will a computer from a '91 run the '92 with no problems? Currently, the truck dosn't run 'cuz the injectors aren't firing, and i know it's a computer problem because the guy I bought it from put the computer from his '92 in and it started and ran like a top. I have access to a "91 computer from a junkyard, guaranteed not to be DOA, but I just wanted to know if it worked before i went and picked it up.
Thanks, and looking foreward to a productive stay here at this forum,
Bob

Well the chip should fit i mean i got the 4.3 Liter in my motor I mean. If the chip from junkyard came from the 4.3 liter it should be fine man.I mean mostly all the blazers,Jimmy, extreme are same just bodywork are differnt and sum other stuff. Go for it. Im sure it cant hurt :P.Also its only one year more so they couldn't of just had it advanced in a year.
