Howdy all!... I'm new here, and thinking about buying a 2005 Blazer. Need recommendations, pro's/con's and what I can expect from all the experts here. Thanks!

Welcome to the site. Is it a 4dr or 2dr and 4wd or 2wd? Mine is a 4wd and it's bad on gas. That's the only con i have for it.

They only made 2dr's in 2005 but they made ZR2's and normal 2dr, 2wd or 4wd... I think they even made 2wd's that looked like ZR2's which was wierd

That's not true, they still made 4-doors, but they were only available as a fleet order.  So you will probably start seeing quite a few of them for sale as they are taken out of rental fleets.

Welcome, As with any vehicle...the last year is always the best year as far as dependability goes......design is a different story sometimes.....but they typically "work out the bugs" right before they stop making them, and the best year is the last year.  Anyway, they are great trucks even if it's a first year....bullet-proof engines they have a few issues if not maintained properly, but just take care of it and you'll love it!  Mine has been a GREAT truck.......135,000 miles and virtually nothing replaced on it....Still has the original rear brake shoes and all 4 shocks!  You can't go wrong IMO....as long as it's not been previously abused/wrecked.  By the way some on this site will disagree, but I get almost 20 MPG still too!

Well if you decide to buy a fleet vehicle I feel sorry for you, those are some of THE most abused vehicles on the road, and I know from experience, then again, props if you find a nice fleet vehicle with low miles.

Gotta agree with lastcoupe these are great vehicles, and customization is unlimited!

If I were you I'd go for it! I'd also like to mention I have a 4wd and I get about 21 miles to the gallon also...which is pretty good for a '94.

Thanks all! It's a 2-door, 4wd and is in very good condition. It has 41,000kms and no powered windows or door locks (excellent!), but has air. No cruise either :(

Don't know if it was rental, but don't think so. Just kinda wondering why someone would return a 2005 like that(?). Other than cost of gas.

I don't know that I could live without power windows, locks or cruise control!

I have no power locks, windows, or cruise, but I love it, besides the fact that friends always leave my car unlocked...
