here we go again...

well all......I guess I have to be done procrastinating......time to get to buisness......moving day tomorrow......just gotta pack a few things.....and off to the races and the u haul.....I promised my truck this is going to be the last time I strap on a u haul....poor thing....she works so hard....such a good girl...........





p.s..........I love my truck......no matter what I do.......I still get like 20 miles a gallon!!!! go kick ass truck......

I know!!!! one less year of therapy...ha ha ha....but alas...the drama continues.....here's a question.....you live in a 2 family house..you are on the upper half...you have a nice 8 x 10 deck..that has 3 foot solid wood railings...and has an enclised ceiling...(no screne or anything) just a roof over it...that's also made of wood.....the siding is vinyl.....now.....would you want to have a fire on that deck? even if it was in an enclosed fire pit?? now keep in mind...the city ordinance says you can't...the land lord would be pissed if they knew you had it.....why??????? because it's fire!!!! yeah fire..that burns........oh man what have I gotten myself into?????????? and everyone else..but little spoiled brat dosen't get the whole fire burns houses down..etc.....yeah........

ok...well I said no fire....1) it's a fire hazard 2)it's against city ordinances 3)if the neighbors see smoke...they think something is on fire....911 gets called...hefty fine.....not to mention possible eviction

solutions to this issue......put a bunch of candles in the fire thingies....it's a free standing fire burner..with mesh all around..and a top......so the candles would still seem like fire..with out the added risk of lots of smoke..and sparks....

solution was agreed to.....then I get the..."well we will buy a fire extinguisher...and just have a little fire..and see how it goes" this comment makes me very angry as we already had come up with a solution. I have tried to be nice..and give reasons why we should not have a fire on the deck....but one roomate is still insisting on it....She says that it will be fine..."just a small fire"

so that is where the situation lies....at this point..I think they are just waiting for me not to be around to do it....I don't want to be evicted..and I realy hate the idea of loosing my stuff..and my cats in a fire....

**now here's the big problem....I have 2 roomates..they are dating..not too bad as my realy good friend is this girl julies boyfriend....all of us are realy cool..and get along...except for this one issue...when she was told to get rid of the fire ring her answer was "well maybe I don't want to move in if this is the way it's going to be" thank god all 3 of us signed the lease......so that's where we are at the moment..I don't know how else to resolve this situation...

At first glance it is a simple solution, which is why I said to elaborate because it seemed too simple. SO the important information is not only do you like the other people, but you know them, and know what will happen if you just up and tell the landlord yourself. That's what I would have done but I live in a CYA (Cover Your Ass, not Christian Youth Association) world. So it sounds to me like you need to break it down like this: Tell your roomies the real deal: 1) you are worried about losing everything in the event of a fire, espcially your kitties. 2) It's against the rules set forth by the city and the landlord, which in all honesty isn't a huge deal but if it bothers you, it bothers you 3) Given the fact that it is against the rules, you touched on a great point in mentioning what could possibly happen if your neighbors see. This isnt a BBQ, its a fire pit, which means you will get real smoke, which is obvious and people who don't know would be accurate in thinking maybe the place was on fire and calling a false alarm.

All are very good points and you would be justified in expressing them as such to your roomies. What it comes down to is this, are you willing to risk the fact that the situation could get ugly? Or would you rather always wonder whats going on at home when you leave?

yeppers...that's about where I am at....I think it will ultimately come to telling the land lord....thanks for the advice.....but I will give it a few......and see if we can't come to a civilised solution....

well the drama continues.....I think the fire pit issue was just a symptom of something greater.....the two might be breaking up.....oh man......what have I got myself into.......by the way....my internet signal dissapeared from my house....so bear with me as I only have internet when I work.....which varies on where I am sitting the the city in the ambulance....hopefuly I will remedy the situation soon.....I miss yacking with you guys in chat....

geez this is not a good situation hun... i think moving in there wasnt the best idea? your two roomates need to get a grip here... and just maybe you need to slap them with that reality? you need to have a talk with them and tell them that they agreed to live with you as roommates and they need to figure out a happy medium to do that properly... and if the stupid fire pit is going to cause a huge issue that will make one roommate act like a child stomping her foot in the middle of Toys R Us, then you'll fill it in with cement and call it a day, but they are disrupting your peaceful home and they need to stop.
