My names andrew and i just picked up a 1988 Blazer for a winter truck, but it's in pretty good condition, a couple of rust spots here and there but it's just surface rust, If the truck is to me i'll be good to it and reward it with a Nice flat black Paint job and i have some other plans. My main Car is a 98 Cavalier z24 thats got stored for winter.... anyways heres a few pics of my Blazer (little 2.8 engine in it)

i do have questions, i'de love if you could answer them..

Well.. i have a 2.8l in my Blazer and im wondering how hard it would be to switch it over to a 4.3l engine.. is there alot involved and how hard of a Job?

Welcome to the forum. This is the place to find out about the engine swap! I did, and needless to say decided against it-way too much involved for me. But if you've got the time/money/garage, it can be done. I decided to get a new (used '95) one instead.
The body is in really good condition, how many miles?

haha

on the Odometer - 440,800
on the body - 280 000or so ( What they told me when i bought it)
on the engine - 120 000 (what they told me too)

So far i like it, except its slow to speed up

Hey guys, does'nt anybody sleep around here?

By the by, welcome to the site. Just got and installed my clear turn lenses today, took me all of about 10 minutes to complete whole swap. Man I LOVE my blazer!! I think I'll keep her.

never done it, but i was seriously considering the 43 swap for my 25. i heard it sucks the fatty and its easier to do a v8 swap. kinda sucks to think about that, but hell, maybe its time for a v8 neways. you gotta do the wiring harness, all the litttle bs under the hood and lots of hard work puttin the actual 4.3 in. you should check outa few other forums to get a better idea. but welcome to the forum!
