I was driving my blazer yesterday and the check engine light came on,, what should i do????

go to auto zone and they'll pull the codes for nothing

Take to an autozone and have them read them read the onboard computer. It's free. Other auto stores may or may not do the same. I just always go to the zone. My problem is I have the same thing happen. But when I took it by, the ODBII wouldn't link to the computer, so I've got to find out why that is occuring before I can diagnos the check engine light.

It was kinda funny to see the AutoZone suggestions...I work at the AutoZone here in town, lol
Yeah, take it to an AutoZone, we'll hook it up to the OBD II scanner and see what's goin on

I'm not saying follow their advice to the letter. I would first recommend coming back here with results. Like I am. But if they offer the service for free. Why not?

take it to a jiffy lube or something and have them run it on a computer and see what code it runs, that will tell you exactly what the problem is.
