Won't look goofy IMO, but how are you going to mount them?

drill some holes in aluminum and mount them and some hefty magnets to it.

psh look goofy??? no way they fit the first gen perfectly. i think round lights on a first gen r goofy. i was lookin at some rectangular lights for my first gen. there was a guy on here (dont rem who) who mounted his lights to the cross bar on the roof rack and slide it all the way forward

my roof rack is kinda far back even when it's all the way forward.....don't know just brainstorming for right now. But i definetly want more light to see those pesky deer.

That's why I put an extra roof rail to the front mounting of the roof rack. It moves the lights up another foot nearer the front. I'll be doing the wiring this weekend & will post pics with them working.

They sell magnets with holes in them to bolt them onto something. but I don't realy want to drill holes in my roof to put another roof rack mount closer to the front

I think Zasder modified the rack to actually slide the crossbar farther forward and avoid drilling holes and what not. I can't find his thread on it...but he actually has pics showing the drilling and mounting of the lights to the crossbar. Shoot him a PM or hope he posts here
