the previous owner of my 91 s10 blazer told me the ABS wuz out but the brakes still work i want to get it fixed but i dont kno anything about brakes except they stop ur truck, how much would it cost to take it to a mechanic and have them fix it

Depends what needs a fixin'
My buds dads' '02? Silverado 2500 6.0 litre 4x4 has 4 wheel disc brakes. ABS light has been on for some time now. He got a diagnosis and estimate. Problem? Wiring harness insulation wore away on along the frame. Needs new wiring. (somewhere under trhe truck I guess.) Dealer gave an estimate of $430.00US. His dad said he would put up with the lamp.

yeah, I hear ya. Get a diagnosis for it.
It be something simple like a fuse, or an ABS module.
