Congrats Pat!  Very nice truck!  Don't feel bad about not having an s-truck anymore, you now have it's Father!  By the way, we've been selling these for a while now, and I have seen absolutely no problems with one yet, gonna be GREAT trucks!

On the whole, they're just a lot better truck all around, lol... Seem like it, anyway...

I would've liked to see the S-Series get this kind of treatment, instead of the Colorado/Canyon...

DEFINITELY!  Although the Colorado/Canyon also seem to be good trucks, They would have been much better if they were more like the old S/T trucks....especially if they had a REAL engine!

Now I'm tempted to try converting to the new fullsize style while I do a V8 swap, lol.

hey Bill, how is the muffler setup on these trucks???  I am looking to replace the muffler with something a little better sounding.  but im not looking to do a cat-back, as most I have seen are 500 bucks and up.  I can get a decent flowmaster or magnaflow for under a hundred bucks.  what is the pipe size also????

I'll have to look at one Pat, Like I said I haven't had any problems yet, so I haven't really looked one over....I'll try to get one in the shop tomorrow and check it out.  I would recommend either a Flowmaster or a Magnaflow..I've had both and they both sound great!

That'll wake it up!

Magnacharger, I think it is, has a fancy clutch setup, apparently, that helps limit parasitic loss, lol

Now don't go doing anything that will void your warranty!....just ride it out for 5years or 100K miles..then you can turn it into a race-truck...lol

will changing the muffler affect my warranty?????  I just want a throaty sounding exhaust, without breaking the bank!

Very nice.  I love the front end of the 2007+ GM trucks.  Everytime I see one I debate about stopping at the dealer and looking at them.

As long as it's cat back, it should be fine...

I know the muffler doesn't affect warranty... or it shouldn't at any rate...

They sound good... But they're not very... Noticable, lol. They're quiet... Not quite as quiet as a stock Blazer (I think they probably use the same muffler, lmao), but still quiet

You will no longer have warranty on the stock muffler.... but I don't think it should affect it at all.

thank you blazin.

Probably start over in another car. If I do at all.  Probably only gng to put a single 10 or 12 under the back seat.  Nothing insane, just a high quality sub (tc-sounds maybe), and go from there.

I missed this thread too! Congratulations Pat, you'll love it.
I bought an '06 Sierra last year (for the g/f) and it's a sweet ride. It's good for an old mans' back to turn on the heated seat and go for a long cruise.
Try not to play with the "OnStar" people to much though.
I was on a ferry halfway from Vancouver to Vancouver island and I called "OnStar" to say I was lost. They told me there must be a problem with the system because they had my position as being in the ocean 12 miles from land!

LOL!

They're there to help you for whatever reason, lol, whether it be getting lost, or to cure the boredom! Look at Maxim! I don't know if they still do it, but they had an "Ask OnStar!" column where they made up a random personal problem and called up onstar for advice, lol
