Ok... So I haven't had the internet at home since Monday night at 11pm. See, a truck driver decided to turn onto my street with his 53' long van trailer (axles all the way back). There wasn't ANYWHERE near the room for him to make the turn and he took out the telephone pole. Now I was already in bed so I jumped up when I recognized the sound of a tractor trailer that should not be where it is. Got dressed and out there just in time to see him back up and take out the phone and cable lines. Power thankfully stayed connected. Pole was broke off at the ground and the base of the pole was now 8' from it's former position. If I hadn't of gotten out there, the guy would have been GONE! If he had of stopped when I told him to, we wouldn't have lost a thing, but NO... Damn it!
Anyway, the pole was replaced yesterday. Verizon got the phone back working yesterday as well, and now Time Warner just finished the new cable line. I'm back up and running.
The trucking company and driver were from Quebec. When asked by one of the fire fighters if he was from the UK (based on his accent), the driver stated, "No, I'm a F*CKING frenchman!!!". LOL I had to laugh when he said that. It was funny as hell.
Well, enough of my story (suedo rant). How's everyone else's week going?

I doubt that truck driver still works for the same company. They probably had a nice bill for that accident. Welcome back to the world wide web superhighway of information..lol

Thanks guys/gals!
Well, as if that wasn't difficult enough, I also had to make the trek down to PA for my Great Grandmother's funeral on Friday. Got the news late Wednesday night. Didn't really hit me all that hard until I saw my grandmother crying at the funeral. My grandmother never shows emotion at all! She is always so composed. My great grandma was 97 years old. I can only imagine what it was like to see everything that she has seen in her lifetime. Amazing!
