License Plates

Who posts pictures with their license plates fully visible? I always white mine out.. maybe im just being overprotective, maybe not

i dont exactly think its dangerous to post a picture with your license plate number on it.... I mean, isn't the plate perfectly visible to people every day??? its not like its your SSN#...... Unless the person viewing the pic is a cop or somethign and can run the plates..... (which i still don't see the problem) you have nothing to worry about......

as for the police running my plates... waste of time, nothings on my record

Ya, I used to white out my plates but sometimes I forget.
Maybe I've become to comfortable on this forum.

I still use a shredder at home for all my personal papers though!

No need to cover the plates. Only time my plates ever were unreadable was due to the lighting.

i dont worry about it.....nothing to hide...lol plus im lazy

We used to black em out when we posted street racing videos and pics, other then that no one can do anything with it anyways besides find where you live to steal it later.

Ya, I never clean mine off either. I have no reason to, as far as I see. I haven't done anything illegal.

I do agree with the "people see them every day" statement.

one of the reasons I heard from a site owner was that someone looking to commit a crime could make fake plates and use a vehicle close to yours and "pin" it on you. That and stealing the car. Thats what he said when he edited my pics. I dunno seems like a lot of work.

Again though, wouldn't it be much easier to find a local vehicle that matched the description and just steal the plates?
