Hi All, I am new to this forum and I am looking at Purchacing a well maintained 98 Blazer LS 2dr 4x4. the vehicle looks great and has 111,000 hiway miles on it.
what is the reliability of this vehicle?

TIA

they are nice trucks and fun as hell.
I have over 160k miles on my 97 and it runs like a champ.

They are good runners, Ive seen one with almost 200k on it running fine, just check out the suspension. Make sure 4x4 works, and check anything power. How much are you paying for it?

bought the truck, just spent the day cusin the gm engineers for designing an engine that is not very backyard mechanic friendly (plug locations, the damn fuel filter)

I cranked up the AC and the clutch did not engage, I put the a/c gauges on the vechcle and added a can of freon, when the clutch engages, it screams and then shuts off.
it cycles like this every 30 seconds, is it the compressor or the clutch or something else?

TIA

Congrats on the purchase and yeah, it is a bit of a pain to get to the #3 plug, but I didn't find the fuel filter all that problematic compared to many other vehicles I've had to replace fuel filters on...

Anyway, please start a new thread in the General Tech Help section on your new ac problem.
